How do u stop the Hp Product Assistant from continously running? I have tried MSCONFIG.

If it is running and popping up messages then look at the steps at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?docname=c00857352&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN .  Those won't remove the Assistant but can make it so you forget it was ever there.

Removing it completely can be more difficult.  Let me know if that is what you really want.  I'll see what I can find out if another expert doesn't post a solution.

Try setting it in services not to run (launch services.msc from a run command and disable the service)
If it tries to relaunch or reinstall then remove this entry from your registry:
C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\Product Assistant\bin\hprblog.exe
