Surely there is something out there that doesnt cost the price of a new scanner???

Browse All TopicsWe currently have a HP CM1312 MFP hooked up to a d-link print server, the printing function works fine but no one can add the scanner, is it possible to network the scanner? Is there a work around if you cant?

the CM1312 comes with a RJ45 network port built in, so you shouldn't need a print server to share it... you should be able to connect it to the same network the print server connects to, then just install the HP software on the computers you want to use the scanner, if their current TWAIN drivers won't run it.
Possibly it has a soft plug covering the network port?

No, you can't share this scanner.
You should use a third party tools like RemoteScan : http://www.remote-scan.com
