Apple Laserwriter II problem

All 4 of the indicator lights on my printer are on. They don't flash they just stay solid. turning the printer on and off does not help. When I push the test button on the side of the printer though it prints okay, but I can't see the printer in chooser. Does anyone know what it means when all the lights are on. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.

This question was awarded, but never cleared due to the JSP-500 errors of that time.  It was "stuck" against userID -1 versus the intended expert whom you awarded.  This corrects the problem and the expert will now receive these points; points verified.
