Printer output scrambled: Serg, Aiwa please, please...

Right I have two printers a Cannon BJC-70 and a Epson Stylus 400 on Windows 95.

The cannon prints two or three lines of symbols and rubbish follwed by ejecting numerous pages.

I borrowed the Epson off a friend installed it and its doing exactly the same. I have obtained the latest drivers for both and installed the printers lots of times!! The same thing still occurs on both. Oh and they are not installed together I am just trying to get one working..

Serg ( #21, 8/17) posted a similar message and aiwa and co. suggested BIOS settings or reinstalling the parallel port how would I go about doing this? I would really like to hear from you guys :)

Spool Data format is: Raw, I have Office 2000 installed (I know this is normally the cause of every problem !!)

Oh and I can print from DOS dir>LTPT1, or somethin' The printer test page works for the cannon but not the windows induced one for the epson
