Sign on as a guest and do a search for "hpftbx13 error" (delete " " in search box). There are several suggestions.
If the HP suggestions do not work, then login and ask a question informing them of your hardware, OS, and that you have tried the HP proposed solutions without success.

and try again, also make sure you have a IEEE-1284 compliant cable (should be written on it)
If this doesn't solve your problem, come back with info like what OS, and at what point exactly do you get the error.
Oh and before I forget, be sure to shutdown all other applications before installing your driver ( that goes for every installation of driver/application )
