Can anyone tell me how to make device-independent printer minidrivers AND drivers for Windows 2000? What tools do I need? Where can I get information and samples on this? Can anyone give me a sample printer minidriver and driver?
I will raise the points as time goes by, so as to be fair for all of your efforts.
Thanks in advance!

Well, each individual printer and printer brand has proprietary printer codes (escape codes) that allow their hardware to interface with the software on the PC. CodeWarrior is a good one for what you wish to accomplish, however, it is very complex and recommended you know C++, C#, or Java before you begin. May I ask what you need universal codes for?
