Error 13,004 almost certainly smeans a failed printhead. The left jet-stack heater (the heating element heating the jets on the left-hand side) is not heating or is heating too slowly. It could be caused by cold air being blasted onto the printer (sitting next to an air-con duct for example), but in most cases it's a faulty printhead. These are *very* expensive to replace. Unless your printer is under warranty it's not worth it. If you have the serial number I may be able to check your warranty.
As for the printer that's stuck at the Xerox logo, most likely the main processor board is faulty. If neither printer has warranty, you should be able to swap the board from the one with error 13,004 to the one that's stuck at Xerox, and get one working printer that way. Removing the board is done by undoing the 2 big thumbscrews on the back and pulling on the handle.
