Want the real model of a DELL branded W5300

Have a nice Dell W5300 printer and cannot find the (real) manufacturer's name
or model number anywhere.  I am 99% sure it is a LexMark.

I need the LexMark model number in order to compare prices and have alternatives
to buying printer cartridges from Dell.

There is no alternative matching model number, Dell would not risk losing toner sales by just switching a label  but you can buy compatible cartridges at places like;

From Information I've gathered from the Lexmark website, this printer looks like it's based on the same print engine used in the Lexmark T642, as the specs are similar.  However, this printer (like all Dell's printers) are manufactured specifically for Dell, as you'll note that the toner cartridges are hpysically somewhat different from the Lexmark cartridges.   If you need alternative cartridges for your Dell printer, though, you can simply Google "W5300 toner" to find replacement cartridges from sources other than Dell.
