Uninstall the printer. Shut down your pc, unhook your printer from your pc. Turn off the printer and remove the power cord. Turn your pc back on. Download and run CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com), both it's cleanup program and registry cleaner. Reboot.
Download and save the most recent drivers from HP.
Re-install the print following your original manufacturer's installation instructions and using the current drivers you just downloaded.

You definitely want to remove and replacethe drivers as step one. That typically is the major cause of your problem. If that appeasrs not to resolve the problem can you print from another workstation or PC to the printer. Is this a netwroked printer or a local one used by one PC only or is it a shared printer froma workstation.
