The only thing mentioned that i haven't tried is clearing out the temp files and i will do that this afternoon and let you know if it works thanks

Browse All TopicsI have a HP 2055dn network printer, the software i run need to use the PCI 5 driver. when i use this setup the printer is very slow to start printing it takes almost 2 mins to start printing a test page. if i install the PCI 6 driver it prints fine.
i have this printer set up at another office with the PCI 5 driver and it works fine the only difference is that the one that dose not work correctly has xp home and the one that does has xp pro on it i dont know if that will make a difference or not. Has anyone had this trouble with this printer or know how to fix it? thanks in advance

In your case, you should make sure it is not set to Best and Glossy or Transparency type paper, excessive temporary files (use CCleaner www.ccleaner.com to clear out unneeded temp files - much better than the manual search HP suggests), and that a large number of fonts are not installed.

If your problem seems to be specific to .pdf files, you should change the settings within Adobe Reader to print as an image.
