Hello
I'm having problems with manual feed tray on HP LJ 4200 printer. Whenever we try to print to it it goes straight to the manual feeds which is empty. How can I fix that?

This is a remote printer that I have no physical access, only remotely thru the print server (Windows Server 2003). Users get red light on the printer and need to go to the printer to press the button to confirm to print from Tray 1 and not from the manual feeder. However I think it only happens when they print from one application called, eCopy, it's PDF redacting software.
I get the error (screenshot attached) when trying to edit the prinitng preferences of the printer, I get that in all programs

I would completely reinstall the printer, as follows.
Go to the Printers & Faxes control panel. First delete the printer. then, from the File menu, select Server Properties. Click the Drivers tab and remove the printer from the list. Then reinstall the driver.
If you are printing via a server, do this on the server and then reinstall on the clients.
I updated the driver and no more errors, however still not getting anywehere prinitng from the eCopy program, see the webinterface status

What is the message?
It could be that you are selecting a size and type of paper that is not installed in one of the other trays. Open the other trays and make sure the guides are set correct. Make sure the blue lever on the trays is not set to 'custom. It should be 'standard'.
Print a config page and verify the paper tray settings.
Check the printer setup and make that manual feed has not been selected as the default.
