Question

HP Officejet J3680

Asked by: nickjbryan5

I would like to get this working as a printer on Windows server 2003 Terminal services. There appears not to be a print driver for Windows server 2003 available. Does anyone know 1) would the XP driver work or 2) is there a comapatible driver from another printer I can use.

I seriously doubt you'll get it working in a Citrix/TS environment as it uses LIDIL (Lightweight Imaging Device Interface Language) so is a host based printer relying on the PC it is physically attached to to do the processing. You might be able to physically connect it to a Win2K3 machine for priniting but it won't work within a TS session from a client it is connected to.

That worked fine hmare once I'd managed to extract the print driver. I have split the points because maqueraid gave me information of which I was not aware and will be useful in future.
