... of course, if the printer does not yet have an IP address, this is not so easy!
I don't know what default IP address the printer will have in such circumnstances.

Trying to install an HP P2015n network printer but do not know the settings of the printer. Is there a way to reset it? Does not print configuration page (or I cant figure out how), just a basic brochre type useless test page when I press the green button. Tried attaching to a network and running HP network printer install wizzard but it did not find it. Any ideas?
Thanks!

According to HP you can print a config page by holding down the Go button for 5 seconds.
If the printer's current IP does not suit your network, you can do a cold reset to clear it. When the printer powers up after that it will get an address from your DHCP server. Then you can use your browser to set it up the way you want.
Perform a Cold Reset by turning the printer off. Hold down the Green button while powering the printer back on. Make sure to continue holding the button for at least 5 seconds and no longer than 15 seconds before releasing it. If you did this correctly, it should erase all custom settings including the password (if one was set).
Try this to get a config page to print.

I don't know for sure if this applies to the LJ P2015n, but most of the modern HP LaserJet 'n' models have a built-in Embedded Web Server (EWS) via which you can read & change various printer settings; just point your browser at the IP address of the printer.
