You hit the nail on the head. It wasn't an issue of modifying the settings on the PCs - it was the fact that the switch that it was connected to was bad. That meshes with some other problems we were having. They all tied into bad ports on the same switch. I replaced the switch and all is well. Thanks!

Sounds like timeout issues.
Make sure that in print driver>advanced tab,spooling is set to "start printing after the last page has spooled" for all printers
in the ports tab, disable bidirectional support.
