Browse All TopicsI have a HP 2600N, and whenever I want to print in Excel 2003 I want it to print in color. Everytime I go into the properties of the printer from excel, I have to uncheck the "print in greyscale box" and switch it to automatic. I also changed the defaults on the printer to automatic and I also tried manually. But everytime I exit Excel, the settings get changed. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Try reinstalling Excel on the PC that has the problem. Alternatively, reinstall the driver on the sharing PC, and then on the other PCs.
To reinstall the driver, go to the Printers & FAxes control panel. First delete the printer. Then, from the File menu, select Server Properties. Click the Drivers tab and delete the printer from the list. Then reinstall from the CD or from a downloaded copy of the driver.

Are you printing via a server? In that case the settings need to be changed on the server.
Is Excel the only culprit, or do other applications have the same problem?
