Will Cisco TAC assist with code upgrade for ASA5510?

I am not very well-versed in Cisco administration and need to upgrade ASA 5510 code.  Our internet browsing seems to have strance issues which could be related to the filtering mechanism of the ASA.  This equipment is under maintenance with Cisco.  Is it appropriate to request assistance from Cisco TAC with upgrade of ASA code?  Will they help?

The ASA is covered under a SMARTNET contract.  I can download the image and read the instructions but would prefer to have a knowledgeable tech perform the upgrade.

They won't perform the actual upgrade for you.  Given the smartnet contract they will assist you through the process step by step if necessary.  To have someone perform the upgrade you'd have to engage a consultant to do that for you.

Cisco TAC will walk you through the entire process.   I've had them on the phone with me as I worked on equipment before...  they will even webex into your workstation and watch as you do the work.    They won't do the work, but they will look over your shoulder as you do it....
