oh.. are you basically saying that I got scammed buying this kit? (I specifically mentioned that I have mx310 printer and brought the cartridge with me)
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI manually added black ink to the Black cartridge after it ran out on my Canon MX310 all-in-one printer/machine (not me personally - a guy in the printer ink shop). I used a universal refill kit. The cartidge is now full (for sure) but the printer still reports "black cartridge empty". I tried fiddling with the printer menus and printer driver software to no avail.
I work with Windows XP SP3, the printer is connected via USB (if it makes any difference)
The refill kit is similar to that:

How do I fix that?
thanks

well, if you specifically mentioned the printer model number, the cartridge number can be derived from that.
so i think you got scammed - if you can, get a refund, otherwise consider it an investment towards better knowledge
i think you should buy a CISS for your printer.
check out this link to get an idea.

there are many other CISS suppliers around the globe. you can find one close to your home.
can't fix it,
http://www.inkfastcartr
just disable it, and go on with printing

have a close look at the cartridge...
does it have any golden colored electrical contacts, 5 to 10 in number, concentrated in a single area?
if yes, then there is a chip on the cartridge which stores the amount of ink used from the cartridge.
whether you refill it or not, once the count in the chip reaches a certain number, the printer will not print until a new cartridge (with a new chip) is installed.
you will be needing either a CISS - a continuous ink supply system or a cartridge chip resetter.
both are costly single time investments.
