cannot scan to pdf file

i have printer deskjet f380 hp and i use hp solution center to scan but in the setting of the scan where scan to file i dont have pdf format what can i do?

I have had a search on internet for a solution. There are two possible solutions - 1. reinstall the software ensuring to select OCR software under Install More Software. 2. Ensure Adobe Reader is installed.

Solution:
"Did you used the installation disk that came with the printer to install it in this computer??! Try to reran the installation disk, and then click the option that says INSTALL MORE SOFTWARE. And then, select if there is an OCR software listed to install this."

"to scan in pdf format you have to install the acrobat writer software in your machine..... if you installed do like this ...
open hp solution center...>scan document .....> it will open one more window in that scan to option select acrobat ............. and scan....."
