Scan to email fails after server replace

We replace our existing 2003 server with a new 2008 server and decommissioned the old server on Tuesday.   The next day there were a couple of glitches but all have been resolved except for the Ricoh Afficio MP C5502a can no longer connect to the Google mail server to scan to email.   After working with Ricoh's support to no avail I am about to give up and have the administrators scan only to the new server and email from there.

What have I missed?  There are no references to the old server in any of the configuration parameters.

It sounds like Administrators can scan?  If so can users scan?  If no, probably a permission issue.

I ended up having to change the DNS address in the Ricoh administrator panel to make this work
