Fax Server
Hi Guys,
We send out a large volumes of faxes everyday using 8 fax lines. It looks like our current fax machines cannot handle the load and we are looking for a more powerful solution that gives us confirmation on completion as well.
Do you recommend a good solution for a health care facility?

It looks like an e-mail to fax service would work well for you. Check out http://www.faxaway.com/

I would like to continue to use my analog lines unless you think its not worth it for some reason?
I thought the 8 analog lines were the bottleneck. Please give me a better description of the problem.

We send like 40-50 faxes in a row sometimes

So why can't they handle the load? I have to assume it's because faxing over analog lines is slow.
Either add more fax lines to handle the load or use email2fax solutions.

I think it's the scanner machine itself, it freezes....
Then buy new fax machines.

OK..why is that better than a fax server?
Because you're the one who said you wanted to use your analog lines.

can i use a server with analog lines? The printers seems t o hang when sending so many, not the lines.
You could. You'd have to buy an add-in card with 8 modem ports on it. E-mail to Fax would eliminate the cost of those lines and be much faster.

i have the lines as part of a contract. i have to use them. buying a card is fine, i just want something to handle the volume.

Is there an unlimited email to fax option i can present? I see most charge a rate per fax..

Ring Central is highly recommended http://www.ringcentral.com/plansandpricing/ringcentralfax.html

if you look at ring central $50/month plan and fit into the 2500 pages/month (125 pages / workday) you're looking at 600 /year or their unlimited $40/month/user plan
Server solution with 10 fax lines -
Server $2000 / 3 years ($667/year + (10 lines @ $20/month) = 2400/year = $3067 / year.. not counting electricity AND routine maintenance tasks.
Your faxing probably comes in large batches i.e. several hours of no activity then a hour or so of intense faxing.
