Canon Legria HF200 import .mts

Hello

I just got my self a new camcorder. A canon HF200, I have installed alle the software thats comes with the camera.
I now how to get the videos from the camera onto the computer, I can only play the .mts file with the following ImageMixer 3 SE Player Ver.5. when I play it in the imagemixer, it plays fin.
My question is how do I get it from .mts to a format that other media players can play, so I can edit my videos.

I have tried to convert the videos with TMPGEnc and Xilisoft HD Video Converter. But the output is very bad, its not "slideing" as a normaly picture wil do, it kind of lagging.

any good ideas?

I can now watch the .mts files in windows media player, but when I convert it it still look crapy.

I cannot convert it with Windows Media Encoder, it keeps comming with a missin .dll error..
