also - uninstall the onboard VGA drivers after disabling in Device maanger if needed.
Could well be a driver conflict if the new VGA card is OK.

Installed e-GeForce 7200 GS 128MB DDR2 - not recognized in device manager. Cycled BIOS Video Adapter settings through OnBoard Display Adapter and e-GeForce 7200 GS 128MB DDR2; did not help.
Disabled OnBoard Display Adapter amd connected both monitors to e-GeForce 7200 GS - did not help.
Is this an issue? How do I do this? Windows help: To install additional monitors: this onboard video adapter must be set to VGA.

Every once is a while my faith in Windows is restored. After working on this problem until 9 last niight I quit untiil late this afternoon. Upon reatarting the PC, forgetting the drivers CD was still in the drive, I was greeted with the found new hardware message. Not unexpectedly installation proceeded OK.
Some days you do win them all.

Sounds like the card is dead. Do you have another you can test with, or another system you can test the card in?
