place a date stamp on a scanned document with vb6

I created a vb6 program that will allow us to scan in documents and placet hem in several different files. What I need to be able to do is place a users initials on the scanned document so when it is retrieved it will display at the bottom of the document the user that scanned the document in. Not sure if this is possible using vb6 but thought I give it a try.
