Scanner could not be initialized (Scanner not found)
I have an HP Scanjet 7450 connected via USB to a Win NT 4.0 workstation. When using the remote scan feature from another network PC, The scan will work a few times before the above error message appears. The only way to continue scanning is to re-boot the scanner PC.
I have tried HP's solution of uninstalling and reinstalling the software and also installing the patch sj596mu.exe but the problem persists. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have not checked HP's website for the HP Scanjet 7450 but unless they say so, you will be unlikely to be able to network this scanner - most cannot be networked. Please excuse me if HP say otherwise but at the moment Google is not working for me so I can't check HP's info.
