Browse All TopicsI have a HP Scanjet 3100c attached to my old Compaq - it makes great scans but it is extremely tempermental - it is constantly taking very long pauses while I am trying to scan - sometimes it will pause while previewing, sometimes while scanning - during theses pauses the machine is silent and still, like nothing at all is going on (which it isn't) - it resumes it task sometimes minutes later! Is this thing fried or is there a problem or a tweak I can try.......

Hi,
what PC/Scanner connection are you using? USB ou SCSI?
If SCSI, check the SCSI board for configuration problems like resource conflicts...
