Unfortunately you have one of the first scanning multifunction that Ricoh made. From my understanding, you can either scan directly to a workstation via a scsi cable, or through an optional beige box. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the box, something like BC-1, since I have not had any connectivity issues as of recent. ScanRouter Lite V2 will most likely not help because it was designed to work on newer multifunctions designed around the GW architecture. To network scan, your options are to either find one of those "beige boxes" or upgrade your copier. I would suggest, although not likely the best option for the end user, purchasing or leasing a new copier. The new copier will include support for network scanning and ScanRouter/DesktopBinder. If you have any further questions, feel free to write back.

This morning, we just got this error too for the first time. I duly searched the web and read your posting, but no one has replied! We have 3 RICOH scanners used by >20 users on 2 floors. All the users on one floor got this error, so I rerouted one user to a scanner on the other floor and it worked ok, so I am pretty sure that it is a hardware error and nothing to do with software etc. (Of course you should try all the obvious - comms cable, power, but you know that). Cheers.
