Brother MFC 9440CN  won't scan to windows Server 2003

Hi my client has a Brother MFC 9440CN . I am trying to configure the software on the server 2003 but it tells me that it is not compatible. I just formatted this server and installed SBS 2003 . It use to have windows 2003 server and it had brother scanner software and it worked great. So I figured it will do the same once I install SBS 2003. I can't and it is a big issue for my client. It won't scan to ftp or file to the server. Please help.
