IWindows XP SP2 Internal Memory Card Reader isn't being recognized

I have Windows XP SP2 and my internal Memory card reader isn't being recognized.
I have an MSI motherboard with a VIA Chipset, I've installed all the lastest drivers motherboard, chipset, etc.
and still won't work.  I've uninstalled the USB hub and everything associated with USB and rebooted and detected everything fine again but still the memory card reader wont work.
