Question

INTEX USB PC Camera driver was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software

Asked by: JatinHemant

Hi friends !

I have a notebook PC Compaq Presario V2000 Series. I also have an INTEX USB Web Camera. Previously, I was using this camera with Yahoo Messenger to chat with my relatives. I have the CD (not the original but a copy that my webcam seller had given me) for the web camera. My laptop seller installed it for me.

One month before, I formatted my laptop and when again installed XP Professional SP 2. Now when I tried to install web camera driver, I found that the driver is not detected.

In the installation manual, it is written that, first install the driver then restart the pc and after that connect the web camera to the USB port. But when I followed the procedure and install the driver software, I successfully installed it as it is just software. Then I restarted the PC and connect the Camera to one of three USB ports I have in my PC, Pop-up message came that Found New Hardware&.

And then Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard appeared. I clicked Next and selected Install from a list or specified location, then I selected the CD-ROM but I couldnt install the web camera. The message came&.Cannot Install this Hardware stating that the driver was not installed because wizard cannot find the necessary software.

I used another laptop but there also I couldnt install. Please see that I have install the Web Camera previously.

My elder brother says that he has installed the web cam with the same CD. But I suspect that the driver CD may or may not be for my web camera. The driver CD is for INTEX USB PC Camera ZC0301H. May be the model for web camera is not ZC0301H.

I cant contact the seller and I am outside the country and the seller has changed his business profile.

I have only web camera and copied driver CD and nothing. Will you please tell me how I can know what is the model name of my INTEX USB Camera and how can I get driver for it from the internet when I have failed to install it ?

Waiting for your replies&

During install, you may have to browse to the cd, and point the install wizard to the folder on that cd for your operating system.
You will notice he OK button will be greyed out until you get to a folder that has drivers in it.

Here is the INTEX site download page, but they don't identify any of their webcams as ZC0301H, but have names for them.

Looking at some websites, it's likely that your camera is indeed the same model.  I could find no other model listed in a cursory search.

Here is a link to the driver  required:

Hi experts !

I am agreed with Mrkaras. I confirmed that the driver is for the same webcam device. There is some problem with Windows. You experts may have some solution for it.
