Simul-Casting an Event

My younger brother is marrying a girl from Brazil in in September. Since most of her family will be unable to travel to the US to attend we were hoping to somehow transmit the wedding via the Internet so that they could share in the festivities. There are "cyber cafes" available in Brazil that could possible be used for this but we want to make this work as smoothly as possible. The only program any of us have ever used for anything like this is a live messenger program. Is there better software available that would work for this and what equipment would we need to accomplish this and how difficult would it be to set it up? I am pretty sure we can get an Internet connection inside the church.
