Is there a possibility how I can activate and manage my office webcam from home? The pc's office is not on the same network connection as my home one.
If it's possible, what kind of software maybe i need to install?
thanks!

There are tons of way to do this, bucket full of software are out there. I'll give you my two top recommendations.

1. Economical way:
Get http://www.dynip.com/ it's like a few bucks per month. You can load it at your job pc. This will monitor ip changes and will give your own direct address. Example rassac.dynip.com, not matter how many times your ip at the job change it will relate the information to dynip. So no matter where you are in the world you can use remote desktop (start, programs, accessories) and remote into your work computer, access your docs, etc. Once you do that, you can remote into your work computer, and use your existing cam / software and view thru there.
2. Spending a few bucks:
Buy one of these http://www2.panasonic.com/
It is a IP camera, meaning you connect it directly to your office router, and it gives you free web address from viewnetcam.com (panasonic owned). The software is embedded in the camera. Where ever you are in the world you can access the work camera thru any web browser and you can operate zoom in, zoom out. I bought the 99$ and works awesome. You can buy higher models which gives you tilt, move, etc..which you can operate thru the web browser.
These are 2 easy methods. Of course there are many other methods and higher priced service, equipment. Simple management of office use, try above. Want to get more advanced, google "ip cameras". If you get more than one, lets say 20 cameras, you can use software like Axis, which shows you 20 mini screens at once on one monitor.
Panasonic camera works great for my needs. I carry it and plug in at work sites and access it when I need , good resolution /zoom.
