I have a webcam, Its company name is "Enter". It works fine on Windows XP (I have two OS). But gives Code 19 error on Windows Vista.
There are no driver support from the manufacturers website. When I connect it windows tells me that its chipset is SN9C201 and gives me a website from where I can download the drivers.
But the driver doesn't work.
I tried searching for the drivers for the cam on google and downloaded them but still same Code 19 error.
The driver on cd doesnt work either and code 1 error comes up.

After doing some poking around, I think I agree with krazyjakee.
Code 19 is mostly means a driver issue. I saw it listed a lot with Code 39 and 31, which are CD/DVD problems, and are fixed by removing the "upper and lower filter" entries from the Registry.
You might try installing the Vista Codec Package, but don't hold you breath.

This is the XP location, but according to this, Vista is the same:

Open regedit and find the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\
Right click in the upper and lower filter entries in these keys and press delete.
Reboot and check if it is OK now.

Try using a hardware identifier program like Driver Magician or something similar.
If it still fails, it's possible that it just isn't meant to work on windows vista.
