Laptop Webcam

I have a Dell studio laptop with a built in webcam.
I would like to set it up in a room at my house and be able to monitor the room from work through the web.
Is that possible?  If so how?

Yes that is possible using various programs.

Or you can logon to the system via LogMeIn and just check out your desktop as well which would have your webcam running on it.

But if you are trying to use it to keep an eye on your room then you would want to run with a software package like the links above.
