I'm not sure how you want to create this accounting, but here are some answers anyway.

The number of printers you can connect to a PC is essentially unlimited, especially if you use direct network connections (i.e. the printer uses an internal or external network adapter). If you use a server, the server can block access to printers. With network adapters, most printers themselves allow you to specify IP addresses to print from, ignoring all other PCs.

As for accounting, some networked printers have pretty good job accounting built-in: the printer can tell you who printed which file, how many pages in the job, when it was printed, etc. A server can do the same but without fancy software it cannot know how many pages were printed.

If this does not start to answer your question, rephrase it and I'll try again

I knew that I can block printing job by their IP address or these sort of things,But imagine in a huge working group (i.e. in a university) all the student have a limitation on amount pages that could be printed . then how can I implement it,as I think I found if i code program that controls printing job in a working group ,and having some sort of card(smart card or barcode card) and get it to each student and authentify student with and accounting their credit by having log of their printning jobs they had done in DB ,will sort it out.

do you have any other idea for it.

i have to mention that in this case students are important not PC or where the printing came from
