ibook battery will not charge
My iBook (M2453) will not charge a brand new battery. I have already reset power manager and installed Battery Reset 2.0, so I think something else is going on. Please help!

There was an issue a while back (not with the iBooks) where a battery that had been fully discharged would "stick" before recharging. The solution was to plug the computer in, pop the battery out, wait a few seconds, and drop it back in. If it didn't work, repeat. Some folks reported having to do that 15 times before it would kick in but it eventually did.

Does the ibook charge an old battery? or any battery at all?
I have worked with notebooks and laptops in the past, and sometimes the batteries are just dead....even though they are new. or just have trouble holding charges. Sometimes it is the lap/notebook. Sometimes it can't charge some batteries. Make sure the battery is the exactly model that is supposed to go with your Ibook. Also you may want to contact the tech support for ibook. They may have a return policy. You may need to envoke it.
