The above Dell LCDs, especially the 24" is excellent for watching TV, playing PS2, Xbox etc. We have a few here, great LCDs. In fact, they are so clear that it will make compressed videos eg. divx/xvid look pixelated (it just makes the pixelation stand out more). I have got one with a digital tv tuner attached to it, looks brilliant :)

Those without HDCP can also support HD as well if it has the HD-capable resolution.
It doesn't say, but I'm presuming that these are all progressive scan, so all conform to 720p, which is 1280 x 720 pixels. Notice all their resolutions are above this -- these are native resolutions -- they don't just say will accept 720p or 1080i etc.
So these (and I don't think they'd lie) are full native HD resolution monitors. Forget "HD ready".
No problem with brightness. Knock your socks off!

True that moniters without HDCP can support HD, but it would not be a wise investment if your wanting to play HD-DVD's and BlueRay Discs.
The blurb on the Net says that the HDCP (which is digital rights management encryption) debate is raging and that there's already a deal with the Hollywood Movie companies not to implement it until 2010 or 2112.
