Problem installing PaperPort in XP

I'm trying to install a PaperPort XP 200 USB scanner.  The software installs successfully, and then prompts me to plug in the hardware.  XP detects and correctly identifies the new hardware, but then gives the following error:

"The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this device".

Visioneer (the manufacturer) hasn't a clue.  Does anyone else?Start Free Trial
