The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Configuration of Adaptec 2610SA Raid controller and Server 2000

I picked up an Adaptec 2610SA RAID Controller off of ebay.  I also purchased two 200GB drives to plug into this controller.  I went it the RAID setup and set up a RAID 1 configuration to mirror the drives into one.  I let the RAID config build itself and it says the config is optimal.  Now I go a restart and want to install Windows 2000 Server and i keep getting Inaccessible boot device on a blue screen.  I then put in a 98 boot disk so I could get fdisk and formatted the drive and tried to install Windows and it looks like it is working until it reboots.  Then the computer hangs at a dos cursor just flashing on the screen.  
 I have tried everything I can think of to fix this.  Can anyone help me out here?  I can't figure out what I have to do to get Windows Server installed on this RAID config.  Start Free Trial
