S - Problems accessing Windows drive letters via Cisco Switch

Asked by VSACIT in Computer Servers, Network Switches & Hubs, Active Directory

Tags: Cisco, Switch, 4500 Series

I have 9 switches in my building.  Users on one particular switch in the building have a hard time opening up drive letters that are mapped to DFS shares on my network.  The other 8 switches' users can open these drive letters fine.  If the users type the UNC path to the DFS share it is slow as well.  If they type to a directory under the share, ex: \\SERVERNAME\SHARENAME\DIR1\SUB-DIR1, it opens fast as lightning.

Any ideas/suggestions on where to start ?

Thanks, VSACITStart Free Trial
