Fault tolerant NIC configuration with multiple NIC's/switches/subnets

Is it possible to team dual NIC's on the same server to different subnets? My team supports 300+ servers, mostly HP. All have multiple NIC's. We hook one up to a server subnet, and disable the other NIC.

A concern exists that if that subnet had issues, all servers would be unreachable at the same time. It was suggested that for fault tolerance we connect each NIC to a different subnet.

I haven't found anything specifically describing this. Any suggestions?Start Free Trial
