Backup Plans and Disaster Recovery procedures

Asked by WWajid in Computer Servers

Hi All,
I am running HP Servers on my site offices which are in remote locations and to get the local support there it is very difficult. If the server crashes then they I have to ship that here and then replace it or get it fixed and then send it back, so it would take a long time for this. Can anyone tell me any alternative procedures so that even if the server fails how can I get the system up and running while the mainserver is down, any plans on this will highly be appreciated. Offcourse getting a hardware and keeping it in stock is a solution to this but any procedures to restore it back at the earliest will help me.
