I am migrating to a new server for a client, and the Netlogon folder will not copy over. The new server is a DELL Power Edge 2900 with a DELL Perc 6/i SCSI Disk. The old Server is a DELL Power Edge 400SC.
I do not have RAID setup, just two partitions on the hard drive.
The new server will not let me disable write caching. Under the option to disable write caching this message is displayed: 'This device does not allow its write cache setting to be modified'.
Ultimately, after reading the event logs, the replication of the Netlogon folder will not replicate to the new server because of this it seems. I have tried to manually copy it over which did not work.
I have seen some posts on the net including Microsoft, which did little for me. I need to find a way to disable write caching or to somehow get the Netlogon to replicate / copy over.
VERY IMPORTANT!
Thanks for any help.
