Dell power edge 1800

I have a really stupid question I had a buddy give me a dell poweredge 1800 server. Because he didn't want it anymore it came with the windows server 2003 small business edition. But it not come with any of the cds. Also I would like to know if anybody has a step by step guide in to what I need to go to get it connected here is my service tag       70L7NB1 it has the current system configuration. I would like to get a picture or diagram to make sure it is setup correct I want to set it up under raid 5 it currently has 3*160gb it also has CERC-SATA-6CH I know pretty much port 0 and hd 0 port 1 is hd1. I need to see if I can get a step ny step guide and in what order software firmware drivers need to installed thank you

So your question is really sound like 'How do I drive the car' or something similar.  Its a little bit too much to answer in this forum.  There are way many things need to be done.

I would suggest you start reading some literature.  Dell has a very extensive support site where you can find all the information and driver/software to download.

i will try to explain

first you should create a raid  array raid 5 will be ok
then use the dell server assistant cd to start installation, after that select the OS and insert the operating system cd to continue the installation

this is the procedure

Here is what you need to do
1. Download the latesest Server Build & Update Utility CD
2. Burn the .iso file to CD
3. Boot the server to this CD
4. Follow the on screen navigation to install a new OS - watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPlZyn_fJ_o
5. At the Array configuration step remove (only if you want a completely blank slate) any existing Virtual Disks / Array's and create your new Raid 5 Array
6. Make sure you UNCHECK Install SNMP and Install Open Manage Server Administrator on
7. Insert your Windows 2003 SBS CD when prompted

Once you have SBS installed go ahead and Install Open Manage Server Administrator

Cerc Sata 6 Firmware - http://ftp.us.dell.com/SATA/FRMW_WIN_R155588.EXE
Reboot the computer

Thank you so much charlestasse I feel like I got the keys to my car and I'm about ready to drive it lol. I have one very stupid question on the motherboard there is a sata con1 and a sata con2 connection on the motherboard sata con1 is blue sata con2 is black. On my Cerc Sata card I have 1 blue connector and I have 5 black connector I'm I supposed to plug in hd0 to the first blue port on my cerc card and then hd1 to the next black port on the cerc card or I'm I supposed to put them on the motherboard like sata con1 to hdo
sata con2 to hd1. Thank you once again for helping me out.

you need to connect each hard drive to each Sata port on the Cerc card starting at SATA Port 0. My pictures of the Cerc Sata 6 shows all ports on the card as black. See attached
