What is the model of Dell Server?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsHi, I have a server running a Dell CERC 1.5 SATA RAID controller. I am looking for a Windows utility to create/manage arrays, preferably a Dell one but I couldn't find one.
I was under the impression that the CERC was really an Adaptec 2610SA but the Adaptec Storage Manager 5.2 shows no supported controllers.
Anyone with any ideas I'd appreciate the help.
OS is Windows Server 2003 SP2.

I have some old CERC-100 ATA controllers and those ones are based on LSI technology. You can certainly create arrays from the BIOS. We wrote some software in-house that monitored health of the RAID and physical disks, but have no idea if it will work on the CERC 1.5 SATA RAID. If nobody else can come up with something, contact me directly and perhaps we can work out a test and go from there.
