iLO password need to reset

Dear, i was trying to configure iLO interface to get support for server. i changed some setting and now i m not able to login iLO as its asking for password. please  let me know how i can reset or what is the default password for HP DL360. this is live server and urgent. please let me know how i can solve this,

To reset the iLO password, you will need physical access to the server and hook up a console to it. When the HP server is restarting, there is a prompt that will appear for accessing the iLO settings and change it (i.e. you have to press either F8 or F11). Pretty much after that point it's self driven.

the login name is either Adminisitrator or administrator (it is case sensitive) and the password is "hpinvent".

i have console access and after reseting when i pres F8 to enter password it is now asking for username/password. before it was not giving any password.

If you can reboot the server, there is an option to configure iLO without requiring a password - of course you have to take the server off line.

yes i did tried your perivious post.

let me tell you more in detail. this server HD is give problem. i plan to give access to my friend through iLO. so i restarted server and enter in iLO config mode by pressing F8. i configured static ip and saved. then i was able to ping to that IP but SSH/Telnet was not working. i again entered to iLO config by reseting the server. i done some changes and restarted server. ping also stoped working. i again reset server and pres F8 for iLO configuration but this time it is asking for username/password and i am am not able to enter iLO mode also. i am not sure what to do. please help.. if need other detail please let me know

setting i changed was "required iLO RBSU login" . it was disabled and i changed to enable..

You can reset the password from Windows or Linux console using the HPONCFG tool.

this link is not helpful as this is for windows utility but i am using Linux and also server is booting in maintenance mode.

i belive this password is comming with serial number but that sticker over server is not there and torned. i dont know what to do.

iLO default user = administrator
iLO password   = need to reset.

Please guide

There is an 8 position dip switch inside the server that is used for maintennace mode.  Look at the "map" on the cover of the server to see if you can locate it.

Position 1 is used to disable iLO security.  Set it to ON, then power on the server, this will remove the password.  Once you've done this you'll need to power the server down and put the switch back to off.
