I need to configure ILO on a HP Proliant DL380 G6

I am configuring an older HP server for our remote data center. I have the server functioning on the network but am concerned that something may fail after I leave. I have a little extra time today and thought I would check into ILO. I have the server with a basic Windows 2008R2 build on it but not sure where to configure ILO. I assume I will have to configure ILO with an IP but not sure what else I need. Do I boot to the bios? Do I need to download some tools first? The back of my server has 3 NIC ports, one of which I am using, and 2 other ports off to the right. I assume one or both of those are ILO ports. All advice on getting me started and helping my configure ILO is welcome.

ok I got it configured. I have a IP address that is pinging. I point my browser to the IP and get prompted to login. I go to launch the remote console and at first I got an error saying I needed a JVM. I downloaded the latest java from the sun site but I still get an error. I think I am down to a browser or certifcate problem. I lowered the settings on my internet explorer to low security. I trusted the IP address of the server. Does anyone else have a clue? I attached my error

No error attached.  Is it a Java error?  Try an older version of Java.
Please post the error.
sorry I didn't click attach....I attached the error and yes it appears to be java related, although I downloaded the latest java from sun
Some iLo devices will not work with current Java. Try using 5.x
hey I logged into one of my older Windows 2003 servers and tried to access the ILO IP via explorer 8 and a version of java that had not been updated in years and BINGO it went right in and I can see the server desktop. If anyone wants to comment that is welcome but I am not going to spend a lot more time on this since I do have a back door if I ever need to ILO and I do know it is just a case of finding a device with an older browser or java version to connect
As mentioned, its not a browser issue but will not work with newer Java versions.
Specifically, my comments in https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27873707/I-need-to-configure-ILO-on-a-HP-Proliant-DL380-G6.html?anchorAnswerId=38422704#a38422704, and https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/27873707/I-need-to-configure-ILO-on-a-HP-Proliant-DL380-G6.html?anchorAnswerId=38422708#a38422708 answer the question that was asked.  In fact, the user was able to utilize iLO from another machine once he installed it, but was having a JAVA issue on another.
I have no problem at all with reallocating points to award them to airborne1128.
