Seagate External Hard Drive unallocated

Hi
I have an external hard drive SeagateFreeAgent|Desk that contains important data. This HD was working fine. Suddenly, I can't get access to it on any computer. I tried within Windows Disk Mangement to change the disk letter but I got it down with black regtangular bar with Unallocated disk. I tried to make it as a new partition but I got an invitation to format it which is absolutely NO.....
Can you give me a quick solution that can allows to me to get access to my data?
Thanks

I'd consider finding a friend with unix skills that can recreate the partition table and then hopefully mount the FS and get the data off.

Do not try anything on it. Connect it to your PC and then go to Windows Disk Management. Take a screen shot of WDM and post it here. I need to see how the Windows Disk Management does see you drive.

Hi and sorry for the delay

I will show you what I am seeing when I plug my external hard drive I will get a window prompt to format it.

I also add a picture within Computer Managment\Disk Managment ....

I think that the MBR is dead on it. I tried your propositions but no one was able to fix the issue.

Any other ideas ?
