The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to delist blacklisted IP Address

Asked by Atouray in Consulting

Tags: mail server IP address Blacklist

For over some weeks now I can't send mails using one of my ISP.  When ever I send a mail it bounce back with these lines

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
      Subject:      test
      Sent:      1/5/2009 4:37 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

      'name@domain.com' on 1/5/2009 4:37 PM
            451 Blocked - see http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?00.00.00.00 (IP Address)

and when I send the same mail with another ISP connection it goes.

When I clicked the spamcop.net link it takes me to a page with these messages:

Query bl.spamcop.net - IP ADDRESS
(Help) (Trace IP) (SenderBase Lookup)

IP ADDRESS listed in bl.spamcop.net (127.0.0.2)

If there are no reports of ongoing objectionable email from this system it will be delisted automatically in approximately 18 hours.
Causes of listing

    * System has sent mail to SpamCop spam traps in the past week (spam traps are secret, no reports or evidence are provided by SpamCop)

Additional potential problems
(these factors do not directly result in spamcop listing)

    * DNS error: IP ADDRESS has no reverse dns

Because of the above problems, express-delisting is not available
Listing History
In the past 70.8 days, it has been listed 23 times for a total of 60.2 days.

and my host has confirmed to me that they don't ve reverse DNS.

What should i do now?
