gnome won't start login fails after 10 seconds

I LEARNED MY LESSON! NO BIT TORRENT FOR ME!!!

I GUESS that's what happened? I innocently stumbled on some *.torrent file
that interested me. savohski charges $250 for CDs of that data and I stupidly
downloaded them. Then I started researching how to read these torrent files.
I was uploading photographs on the monkeyview server, and that takes time,
so I was letting my computer run, and when I came to check on it, the
login dialog box that lets me back out of sleep mode for the screen saver didn't
work. I pressed the power button and rebooted. After that, I get these error dialogs.
