I have to url's that point to the same web content.
http://www.madisonal.gov and
http://www.ci.madison.al.us. They are both pointing to the same content on the same server so there is no difference in the content. The .us is the old url and the .gov is the new one. They have both been up for at least 2 years. When we put up the .gov domain we completely redesigned the website, so there should not be any kind of cacheing issue. We have the google search engine setup on our site but when we do a search on the .gov site we get very few results. If I go to google and search site:
www.madisonal.gov I get 5 results. When I do a search for site:
www.ci.madison.al.us I get 1100 results. I have checked and the googlebot is crawling the site every couple of days.
